Music Makers: At the Keyboard II - Winter/Spring

from 275.00

(Graduate of piano, Year 1I)

27 week year

Musikgarten children come to the piano ready to play the songs they have learned to sing, dance, and love! Small group lessons at the keyboard capitalize on your child’s delight in making music with others and allow the children to have success quickly playing songs that they know. In this second year of the program, your child will continue to learn to play by ear, with an increasing emphasis placed upon music reading skills. Composers, their stories and related listening selections will deepen understanding of styles, eras, and types of music. Playing a much-loved piano repertoire of familiar songs along with new, unfamiliar reading pieces improves each child's ability to read, memorize, and play with fluency – resulting in pride and excitement in making music!
Materials:
To continue the fun at home, you will again receive 2 Listening and 2 Practice recordings (CDs as well as digital downloads) over the course of the year, including special tracks to facilitate practice each week. Notation games, repertoire pieces, sight-reading pieces, composing and improvising experiences, and more comprise your child’s comprehensive learning materials that will help him stay excited about playing and encourage him to make music long after the lessons stop. You’ll both love Music Makers: At the Keyboard, Year 2!
